 Lore:

 

My father accidentally broke through the wards of the Fae realm and summoned the Fae king. The Fae king was impressed with his abilities and invited him to live in the Fae realm and learn their magiks.

 

Time works differently in the Fae realm so there's no telling how long he was there he had learned a great many things and one day while practicing weaving his human spells with fae magik he saw the most beautiful Fae he had ever seen, it was the Fae king's daughter Aularia, the enchantress. He became enamored with her and found that they had similar abilities.

 

They became wed and had me. I was born beneath stars that no longer exist and only their light remains. As long as I remained in the fae realm I would be immortal, but should I ever leave, my human side would eventually cause me to age and fade away.  My fae side would give me an unnaturally long life and maintain my youthful beauty

 

Forty-eight years ago I came to the human realm. My father and mother stayed in the Fae realm. Though my mother could visit, if my father left the fae realm after the eons had passed he would disintegrate.

 

When I was 17, I met and fell in love with a vampyre. I wanted to be with him forever, but I knew he would not survive in the fae realm. The only option was to have him turn me. My mother warned that vampyres were not natural immortals and therefore bored easily with the passage of time and his love for me would not last. I chose to ignore believing that I would be the exception. I became a vampyre. Because of being part Fae, the sun was not a threat to my life but it was uncomfortable and I do burn easily I still have a heartbeat and I don't require blood to survive.
